I’m sure I’m not the only one who can mindlessly consume hours of Fixer Upper. There is something so genuine and kind about Chip and Joanna Gaines. They were recently in Houston for a Rebuilding Together Houston event helping Hurricane Harvey victims. Which brings me to their collection at Target – Hearth and Hand. Thanks to Hurricane Harvey, we are also rebuilding our home and our lives.
Hearth and Hand has an artisan, rustic vibe but yet there are plenty of pieces with a modern touch thanks to clean lines. I plan on picking up a new cushion for my favorite rattan chair (if we can save it) and the tan beaded garland. Neither looks too holiday, which makes them great pieces out of this collection.
For our second holiday season at linton, I added a few more pops of red and a little more gold (you can see last year’s holiday decor here). With plaid being such a big design trend this year, I used it sparingly. You’ll find an oversized plaid pillow, a few plaid ornaments, and some May Designs wrapping paper add a touch of this fun trend without going overboard.
Christmas decor is always fun to get out, but not so fun to put away. As I picked up some new items for our seasonal bins, I also took advantage of sale items that wouldn’t be limited to the holidays only. I found a cute white bucket, some copper candles, and gold sticks to keep/get out once the tree and red goes away. Using some of the great sales at Michael’s, Pottery Barn, and HomeGoods during the holiday shopping season I was able to stretch my dollars and get more use out of each piece.
