leaf it up

I’m on to you palm print. You’re lurking in the background, hanging out and waiting to pounce while the blue & white does its thing. Why don’t you play together though? Can’t you both share the spotlight this season? I love you both!

They might go by different monikers, but they all have a similar look whether you call the print tropical leaf, palm leaf, or banana leaf or frond. The organic shape, the punch of green, the fun, whimsical feel, it’s just what your room, style, and pool need. I’ve decided I like them all. Easter Brunch

This year Easter falls on my birthday weekend. Besides the usual birthday celebrations, my family will all be celebrating too on Sunday. With an ice cream bunny cake. Yes, I’m still a 5 year old in cake tastes. In preparation for the holiday, I thought it was time to bring out some more Springtime colors. April is always a busy month, but I so enjoy it!

2016 Christmas Decor

This is our third Christmas at Lady Linton. We have a few traditions, like two Christmas trees, our annual white elephant, and using the previous owners outdoor Christmas lights. You can see prior years here and here. Christmas decor is always fun to get out. It adds a certain magic to our home.

Some come on in, and enjoy the scents and sights of Christmas this year!

Curtain Help Needed

Update – check out the curtain debate solution here.

When you buy your first house, much of your furniture may be “acquired.” As in, when you catch wind someone you remotely know, or your parents know, might be, maybe, getting rid of some furniture – you’re all over it. Between Chris and I, we started with almost enough furniture for a one bedroom apartment. We’ve gradually added to each room and now have something in every room. Okay, most rooms are functional. And, I just cleaned up the junk room so it is now a room with an ottoman and a chest…and a drying rack.

This brings me to our living area. Some might call it a formal living room, but I would really like to take the “formal” out of ours. It is full of hand-me-downs and I’ve made it work for now. I’d like to take it up a notch and this is where I struggle. I want a more casual, but still polished vibe.
