I’m sure I’m not the only one who can mindlessly consume hours of Fixer Upper. There is something so genuine and kind about Chip and Joanna Gaines. They were recently in Houston for a Rebuilding Together Houston event helping Hurricane Harvey victims. Which brings me to their collection at Target – Hearth and Hand. Thanks to Hurricane Harvey, we are also rebuilding our home and our lives.
Hearth and Hand has an artisan, rustic vibe but yet there are plenty of pieces with a modern touch thanks to clean lines. I plan on picking up a new cushion for my favorite rattan chair (if we can save it) and the tan beaded garland. Neither looks too holiday, which makes them great pieces out of this collection.
My other favorites from the Hearth and Hand collaboration are the big metal house, the salt and pepper cellars, and the green wine glasses. The olive-green is a nice accent to add in with my dark blues and cool grays. I plan to incorporate pops of green into our decor to add another color dimension along with neutral textures.
I am also loving the black accents with all the colors. It reminds me of how I designed the exterior color palette of our house in a cream and tan with black accents. The contrast of the black adds a nice depth and moodiness.
And, while I am not picking up much in the way of Christmas decor this year, the tree collar, garland, and festive giant candle are all on my short list. The geometric doormat and gold accented storage containers are all transitional across seasons, making them great additions to your home when the collaboration drops this Sunday!
I’ll be dreaming of a decorated house for the holiday season, but that doesn’t mean you have to just dream!
